Russia goes country!

I know I showed this Russian doll the other day but I wanted to show her first and then...................

Show how she "went alittle bit country" LOL I think these little guys will be gifts. I plan on making a little doll blanket to go with the cowgirl. I always start the post and then think I should have gotten the address to the free pattern, it's at ithinkisew good that we have google!
These are the quilts from our last quilt guild meeting.

This is a charity project that we are doing this year. It is small blankets for still born babies. A sad project, but we hope it will bring comfort to the parents. We were told there is a need for them.

These last 2 are made using the storm at sea block. Nancy gave a demo on the block.
the sun is shinning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!JMF

A few animals........................

 And now there are 2!!
And this one looks mean:) I'm sure he's not, have I mentioned I am not a cat person? I just like taking pictures.. I told Greg I am not going to feed them anymore he can take the scraps to the shop where they live.
 Cold foot......
 Handsome guy..
 It's a face off....squirrel wins!
I had a couple of bottle calves, but they have been adopted to new moms.
Just a couple warm days and lots of snow is gone. I'm ready for spring.............JMF

The test continues.

Maternity ward full again. They sure like it there tho.
They get moved home to the pole shed and hoop barn for a few more days then out they go.

The calves at Jared's have shelters and there is always calves in them.

Straw helps until it gets snowed on.
The view of the pastures just waiting until I can take pictures of the tall green grass!!!

Hundreds of birds out the window the other day. I don't think they like the wind and cold either.
The calf burrowed down in the snow to get out of the wind.
This looks better but if they can get dried off and suck shortly after birth they can stand alot.

The set up at the calving pasture. It's the Dr's office/ operating room and the hospital.
 Gotta have water.
No it's not the attack of the locusts  someone just needs to wash his windshield:)
From his birth spot he gets a ride to the calving barn.

and then there will be mud, but first 6 or more inches of snow tonight and tomorrow. I am proud to say the guys are passing this test with an A+ lost a few calves, but have had 6 or more sets of twins so we are ahead................JMF

Sunday Stuff................

The guys have been out all day with the cows and calves so I went to the sewing room and made this little doll:)
I got the pattern free at ithinkisew. I think I will make more!!! It's just raw edges so was easy to put together. A felt face and hair.
I'm not sure which birthday I gave this to Johnny but he was little. I got jean from his 2 papas, and 2 great and papas, Johnny's jeans and  his dad of course.
It is his tractor blanket. He always wanted to go with them but then couldn't stay awake, so he slept on the floor on his blanket.
Then when he got to big Lucas slept in the tractor on it.
One day Greg was putting it down for Lucas and had it on the other side so it was smooth, and Lucas told him that was wrong to turn it over!!
I made these awhile ago and am going to donate them for door prizes.

The cat hadn't been around for awhile, but was back yesterday. I was taking his/her picture out the window of the house, and she was staring right at me. He's a wild cat and will run into the trees when I come out to throw him some scraps to eat. Then when I'm in the house he comes back.

I don't know it they are brothers or husband and wife!! They don't get along, and don't look at each other:)
More snow and rain coming this week too. Right now it is cold, rainy, and windy, but looks clear to the west so I hope it gets here before dark.
I think I heard the tractor gotta run................JMF
