Fall, fencing, decorating, bibs, garden....................

I wonder how the cows got out? It seems like it is always the other guys fence, but when it's your cows you bring the posts and you fix it. With this dry weather there are lots of places that are dry now so you can get the fence fixed without waders:) Not a good thing tho Greg would have been happy to put the waders on. Second thought they probably wouldn't have gotten out if it would have been full of water. We need rain for more than one reason......pray for rain!!!
It's time to get the fall decor out again.

 I love that cute ghost:)

I'm not a cat person but this one is cute and was on sale! Plus it won't jump up on the counter and scare the crap out of you when you back is turned...........oh that's another story and I would have the cat lovers after me if I told it and the cat stories from my childhood. NO CATS WERE HARMED IN THE STORIES well not to bad anyway  again I regress again where are my meds:)
Bibs made for twins cowboy and cowgirl.
 The Great pumpkin patch.

See how much bigger this one is compared to the little garage in the background?  just kidding You could park this one in it tho.

my favorite squash Butternut. It's almost ready.

Skull, fabric and bibs.

This was our 13 year old buffalo bull. We sold him to a meat packer last year, and just got the skull back. The picture doesn't show how big it really is! The horns are huge and heavy, and that's just the horn caps. The dark part of the horn slip right off. Not sure where is will hang. Greg said maybe the basement but he never goes down there,so that's not a good idea.
Some of the fabric I bought in Rapid City. We went to Pearl Louise's quilt shop, that was awesome:)   We also went to Fabric City that's a nice shop too.
It's a panel I will show you later what I do with it.
Still making the bibs. They are fun to make and don't take to long.
I just can't seem to stop!

I hope my cold is better this week I am sick of sounding like (as Greg says) a coon dog with a coon treed     not funny when I am doing the barking I mean coughing. I would like to get some other sewing done. I have one that needs quilting so far it's laying over the frame near the sewing machine, but I don't think it will quilt itself.
I can't believe it I am running out of cute little girl western fabric for bibs!!!!!

Hodge Podge of things............

I've had a cold so haven't been real ambitious but did get 2 bibs made. Someone wanted western girl bibs so I'll see if they like these. I'm not sure I do, they need something else. This might not be the last time you see them.

This came driving in the other day! Like my  DIL said when Matt made one it is a Redneck 4 wheeler cab:)

It will be warmer in the winter and dryer in the spring.
If any of you knew my Dad you know where they got this need to tinker and make things out of almost anything. I love that about my boys cus it makes me think of Dad.
Greg, Jared and Lucas went to Madison to the bred cow sale so John and I ran the ranch!LOL We went over to shut the water off and drain the hose where these cows are. Then of course (according to John) we HAD to check the traps and try to shoot a pigeon when we got home. It's been a long time since I spent the day with just John I loved it:)
We had dinner my was Yogurt with broken pretzels if you haven't tried it you should oh and I had a bun and a mound bar. John had his dream meal ........Ramen Noodles   (yuck) and 2 peanut butter and jelly sandwich's and yogurt. While I cleaned up he watched a episode of the old Roy Rogers show!
 Some of my winter decorations.

This is what happens when you put your finger over the flash!!!
stay warm...........JMF

A Day in Sioux Falls, and bibs

Monday Carla and I went to Sioux Falls for our annual checkup.....every girl needs one:) Our first stop was the mall tho!!!!!!!!! I had some things to take back to Christopher Banks, but left with a full bag. Half off everything in the store I couldn't resist, I got a cute jacket, a pair of jeans, belt and necklace. Next stop was Olive Garden for lunch with Ellen, good food and visit. A quick stop at Joann's Fabric and on to the "appointment" :)
Our last stop was Peachwave a frozen yogurt place lots of choices of yogurt and toppings VERY GOOD!!! It's at the bridges on 57th and Western.
Yesterday I made a couple of Christmas bibs.
This was leftover fabric from the apron I made the other day so I just cut out the bibs instead adding it to the stash. I think I will try and do that more often.
This is the dresser in the bedroom I just can't get a good picture of it, and I don't want to be in the mirror and ruin the pic:) Anyway it's my attempt at fall decorating turned out ok I think. The cowgirl decanter was my Aunt Normas it says Dakota Cowgirl just take her hat and have a swig!!!!!!!
Just a couple of days at the neighbors and the combine can go back in the shed. The corn was very good this year. One more thing on the Thankful list..............JMF

Books, coat, and bibs...

I posted about a new book awhile back  Levi's Lost Calf, so here is the author Amanda Radke! I am a member of the SD Cattleman's Auxiliary and we sponsored 3 book signing for Amanda. We had a fun 2 days!! She sold books and we gave books and beef sticks away!!
Here is Little Red from the book. Isn't he cute and he's so soft and cuddly! The gals at  purplebannerdesigns.blogspot.com   made him.
It's getting cooler so I thought I needed a jacket on my dress in the basement!
It was a gift from the same aunt as the dress Norma my moms sister. It is a felt jacket I have no idea where she got it. I sure wish I would have asked my ancestors more questions!!

I'll just say more bibs!!! The girls think I need a internet intervention maybe a bib one is in order too.....LOL  JMF
