Blue Jean projects...........

I got around 19 pairs of Rocky Mountain jeans from a gal in town for FREE!!
I made this tote with frayed edges and a braided handles.

These 2 were my first projects from the jeans.
Small purses with the 2 front pockets of the jeans for extra stuff:)
I'm thinking this pair was one of her favorite as they were soft not like the rigid denim.

 Last is a messenger bag.
I have stopped in town a couple of times to show/give her a choice of these, but always miss her. Maria if you see this let me know what you and the your girls want and it's yours:)
I worked on these yesterday one is for a auction and the other is a gift.
2 shelves done in the pantry cleaning!
Yesterdays view out the kitchen window.

My barn quilt not big enough but will have to do........................JMF

Some Christmas projects

I made this table runner for Carrie for Christmas. I was a quilt as you go and I did it in one afternoon!!
I think  it took me longer to decide on the backing than to sew it.
This is what I ended up with.
I made this apron for my secret pal in the Belleview Birthday Club. Some day I will have to write more about the club it has been going since the 1950s I think.
One night the phone rang and it Tara calling to tell me she had worn the apron at her son's birthday party and it was a big hit. It's always nice to know when someone likes what you made. Thanks Tara, and thanks Dan for the shirt:)
I made this bag for another friend Sue because she wore her first one out!!
Here is our wild cat. Greg thought it should have a better shelter behind the house. I think I tipped the tub over to put corn on for the birds, anyway he cut a hole put alittle hay in it and now it's the cat house:) I told him as long as it continues to be wild he can stay!!
Looking for corn. It's in the bucket.
One day before Christmas Mike, Sue and I delivered beef roasts to the food pantry in Wesstington Springs. We are members of the SD Cattlemen's Aux and it is one of our projects.
They were pretty happy and thankful for the beef.
We were so important that we got an escort out of town:) Not really just happened to get behind him, and then we wouldn't let Mike pass him so we followed him for quite awhile.....................JMF

Views out my window, and car garage...........

Noticed him walking across my front yard.
Someone snoozing in the back yard!

Planting time working the fertilizer into the ground Next pass will be to plant corn.

The other day Lucas found 2 boxes of hot wheel cars, and wanted to know why I had them. I said to make track and garage for them!  I showed him what I was talking about on Pinterest.
The next time he was here we winged it and came up with a pattern.
don't be distracted by the mess the garages are at each end of the track.
I know not so good pictures but we got in a hurry.
I cut the felt with a pinking blade and Lucas thought that could represent the bumps on the edge of the road. What do you call those bumps? Rumble bars, Helen Keller (Braille) or alarm clock bars????
I sewed ties in the middle of the back so we could roll it up to store everything inside. I told him when he got tired of it he could give it to someone else!..........JMF

Birthday present...

It was our DIL's birthday yesterday so  I made supper for them. I also made this messenger bag for her. I got the fabric at the Nuts and bolts fabric  shop in Edgemont SD. A few posts back I think I told about us being at the Stock Show and one day we dragged the guys on a several hour trip!!!! At least I made something with one of the yards of fabric I bought!!!
I quilted the heck out of the front and back panel like bobbins full of thread quilting!!! It was just fun mindless sewing:)

The back of the book bag for the Librarian.
I think this is the first store bought  apron I have given her. I love it.
This is the first time I got a picture of both of our wild cats. They better stay wild  cus ones a boy and ones a girl. Greg said they were getting alittle too friendly with each other.....................................wild kittens?????????........JMF

Out my window...................

I had two bibs cut out Then when someone wanted a couple of western girl bibs I got busy and made them all.

John's cat had 5 kittens. He made a little pen for them, she had them in with the bottle lambs.
I was watching these 2 squirrels the other day chase each other away from the corn buffet It's all you can eat:)
Here's our cat a wild one. She comes over and eats corn once in awhile so I took some milk out to her. She ran away but came back when I went in the house.

She stayed til she got it was all gone.
She or he I guess had to have a few breaks.
I don't think it would win any beauty contests, but has an interesting look!

I have to quit taking pictures in the basement. It must be the lighting.
 She's at Higher Grounds.
I bet the geese wonder why they left the warmer weather for this. It's gloomy and cold.

Hoping for spring weather...................JMF
