This was our 13 year old buffalo bull. We sold him to a meat packer last year, and just got the skull back. The picture doesn't show how big it really is! The horns are huge and heavy, and that's just the horn caps. The dark part of the horn slip right off. Not sure where is will hang. Greg said maybe the basement but he never goes down there,so that's not a good idea.
Some of the fabric I bought in Rapid City. We went to Pearl Louise's quilt shop, that was awesome:) We also went to Fabric City that's a nice shop too.
It's a panel I will show you later what I do with it.
I just can't seem to stop!
I hope my cold is better this week I am sick of sounding like (as Greg says) a coon dog with a coon treed not funny when I am doing the barking I mean coughing. I would like to get some other sewing done. I have one that needs quilting so far it's laying over the frame near the sewing machine, but I don't think it will quilt itself.
I can't believe it I am running out of cute little girl western fabric for bibs!!!!!

Fabric Hoard, and cows................
This is my western fabric stash(most of it) So Karin this is for you!!
I wonder if they have a QA quilters anonymous I could join! The only problem is it wouldn't be anonymous we would know everyone and ask how their project are coming, and how many new ones have you started:)
I love this piece I just haven't wanted to cut it up yet!
It might make cute pillows for a kids room..........
So that means the red. brown and teal fat quarters can't be cut up either!!
Some of this fabric has got to be 10 years old I hope it hasn't reached it expiration date! Just a tidbit I don't believe in expiration dates just look in my fridge. On second thought don't!!!
The other day Lucas was here. I didn't get my memory foam pad put away quick enough and he thought it would make a great pasture for his cows, and it did!!
He started taking pictures so here's a few.
notice how he puts the calf right by the moms head just like in real life what a kid.
It's to bad some of the cows have to have buffalo calves and goats for their babies whatever works....
I saw him writing on the tags (rummage sale sticker from the $ store) he would write one then look at the others and count out for the next one, it was some serious business. He had fun tagging, loading, hauling, and chasing. While I was taking pictures of my fabric hoard!! Don't turn me in to that show Hoarding....Please:)
Sarah made one for Lucas, and one for his cousin. She had me sew on the eyes and beak. She also made a monkey one but I didn't get a picture of that one. SO SO Cute..
Sorry their is no western fabric left for anyone else........JMF

Pumpkin report, water, fabric, and Saint Julie!!
Pumpkin blossoms
and there's the pumpkins!!!
highway 81 going north of Madison. It's under water for 2 miles.
This was coming home going south.
Only open to trucks and pickups no cars. It did wash off the pickup's running boards!!! We were on the way to Morris MN to a farm sale we left Tues and came back on Wed. Greg didn't get what he went for. I left him at the sale and went back to town.
There was a fabric store and had fun there!
already made the dinos into a pillow case for a birthday present.
I have an idea for these dolls that doesn't include making a doll. We'll see if I am still writing the blog when I get that done!!!
Little kids hankies .75 cents couldn't pass them up.
Then I spent some time in their Pamida where I got this cross.
Checking the markets for Greg on the kindle.
This house is north of Watertown. What a neat looking old house.
I would like a tour!!!!!!!!!!!
The mail lady brought me a box from Borders today I love it when she does that!! So I ordered the book The Little Book of Saints and low and behold look who's in there Julie. wow Ive been called alot of thing but I don't recall saint being one of them, must be a different Julie!! Saint Julie lost the use of her legs at 16 but after 22 years she regained the use of her legs. She established the main center of the Sisters of Notre Dame in Belgium. She died in 1816.

Apron
I made an Apron today for one of Sarah's friend. It was from the book The Perfect apron by Rob Merrett.
You had to ruffle a piece and a gal out at the Custer quilt shop gave me a real good hint. Set your zig zag to the largest setting and sew over floss then you can just pull the floss and it gathers it up. So easy!
It's coming along nicely.
It's got a pocket in the middle of it I think I like it!!
Here's the book.
I got the binding sewed on this quilt.
Now it's just waiting for a baby.
That's all for now I think we are going to rent a movie and sit back and relax.
where's the popcorn...........JMF
