Blogger's Quilt Festival........................

First things first A big thank you to Amy at Amy's Creative Side for hosting the Blogger's Quilt Festival!!

This fall I am entering Tatanka the pattern is by JoAnn Hoffman. I bought mine as a kit at the Hill City Mercantile in Hill City South Dakota.

The fabrics in the kit are all gradation light to dark.
The fabric is so cool these buffalo are only 2 pieces 3 with the horn, but looks like lots of different pieces.
This is my light table:) It works, plus the TV is right by!

Got my circle cut. It is 42 inches.
I traced  and cut out  all the pieces before I ironed anything on.

The people in the tepee are ironed on to the front but looks like they are inside around a fire!!
The inspiration, our own buffalo. I tried it on the orange wall and we didn't like it, so got moved to the brown one. Please take alittle time to visit the festival and voting will open soon so go back and vote for your favorite. I have one more quilt to enter. Then in a week or so I will be celebrating my 4th anniversary of my blog!! There will be prizes:)...............JMF

Thanks for posting. It looks great.
I love seeing the process you showed. I covered mine with crystals to make it look like midnight snow. Great job.

I loved this piece the first time you shared it and I'm glad you entered it in the quilt festival so lots of people can see it - it looks hard, but you make it look do-able. I think its stunning and definitely deserves to be placed on a wall of honor! :)

It may have been a kit but you have chosen and executed it beautifully. I love how the people appear tone inside the tent - very clever.
