The cows in some corn stalks. They are finding some to eat besides what the feed wagon brings them.
On the cold days they like to stand in the tall rushes.
As for our other wildlife this one can move on. No possums allowed.
The sky brand pillow.
With barbed wire to keep the cows home:)
Tootsie the little cattle dog!
Checking for new calves. This coming week might be tricky with the cold weather. Good thing they have a warm place to stay in.
Another unwelcome site. My little trees are ate up enough. We watched him jump into the pail of corn. I guess he could be the Easter bunny:)
Another finish just in time for Easter. The binding fabric is from 1999 I bought it for Carrie's wedding decorations. Does fabric have an expiration date????
I hope not........................JMF

Yellowstone Park by snow coach......................
Your snow coach awaits!!
The beautiful views begin.
Up we go:)
The steaming mountains.
There are lots of thermal areas in Yellowstone.
This poor buffalo had to dig deep for a few bites of dead grass.
My view out the front of the coach.
We stopped here a couple of times to eat lunch, bathroom breaks and while our driver gassed up the snow coach.
This is one of the water falls we saw.
It was running just not full speed.
The little Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.
BIG country.............
Hey that's us with the waterfall way in the background.:) I would like to see it in the summer sometime.
This guy was busy doing his job removing snow from the roof! He sawed it into chunks and slid it off the roof. The trouble was it was piled up as high as the roof.
More thermals
And it was snowing when we walked around that area. It wasn't bad cus we were moving up and down some hills.
These guys are no dummies they walk on the road where it's easy going.
Getting farther down the mountains the sun was out.
The snow is smooth as glass.
We made it after an all day snow coach ride we are back to where we started, at the Mammoth Hot Springs hotel.
This building is the restaurant.
A few pics of the inside.
The next day we drove all day and evening to get home to our own bed!!!
We got our first calf the other day so no one will be going to far from home until maybe June!!!!!......................JMF

Mammoth Hot Springs
We made it to Mammoth Hot Springs. Mountains, buffalo elk and hot springs.
It's pretty country, even with the snow.
This is the hot springs just up the road from the hotel. It smells but is neat.
At the top it was more yellow but at the bottom the water looked white because of the white mineral.
The water was warm so plants would grow even with all the snow around it.
There is a walk way up and around the top. We wanted to drive along the only road they keep open so didn't take the time to walk to the top.
The buildings are the offices for the park. It was Fort Yellowstone many years ago. I don't know if I would get used to buffalo all around when I walked to work tho.
More elk but alas no wolves. dang it. We might have to go back someday:)
This is where we parked in a little pull out area by the road and just looked at the scenery. That is until a car parked by us then Greg got the binoculars out and acted like we spotted something! So they were looking and looking. They probably spotted a wolf!
They were still in the same spot when we came back. Tomorrow we will be on the snow coach!.....JMF
