Mountain lions , sheep, rabbits and squirrels oh my!!

I made this quilt in 2003 and Kay just quilted it for me!

 John's sheep have started lambing some of them are at our place,
 I checked them Sat when John was at his wrestling match but no action until he got home.

 Cute speckled lamb was born Sunday.

 This morning I witness a fight in the back yard.

 This rabbit was hoping that the squirrel wouldn't catch him eating corn......

 He kept trying.

 Maybe if I stay behind him I'll be safe:)

I have a couple of pillow to show too but not sure if they are with the new owners yet!.....JMF

Fall is over:(

 I was loving the long fall with warm days and long walks then the wet,cold, snow and wind came.
I went into hibernation!!!

 Last month's full moon was so pretty!

 When Greg was busy or hunting I walked through the calves checking for sick or stuck or any number of things. I only found one calf with it's head stuck in the fence but he got out just as I called Jared. I guess I panicked he wasn't really stuck just thought the grass on the other side was greener!

 They like to follow and sometimes I had to tell the girls to back off! They would get a little to close for comfort.

 Lucas and I went with Greg one afternoon to the hunting shack. We saw alot of deer but nothing he wanted to shoot. That's how his whole season went:) He did help our local Game Warden load the deer he shot tho. Greg asked him "Should I know you?"  I guess it's a good thing when you don't know the game warden!! We do know him he just didn't recognize him in his hunting clothes!

 This little buck hung around for awhile so Lucas was taking pictures of him.

Jan 2014

 I am using my blog to accomplish 2 things review what went on in 2014 and clean up my pictures!! I need to delete alot of pictures:) Last Jan was a good squirrel month!

 I remember someone wanting a girl apron this must be it.

 This is a brand pillow I made for someone?? don't remember who infact I made 2 just alike.

 Then I used up a piece of cancer survivor fabric and made mug rugs.

 I got the kit for this from  Paula I made this one and another one for my aunt.

 We sold calves on Jan 25th a week later than we had planned to, because of the weather. Who would have guessed that!! That's why we love South Dakota....I think:)

 Yes this was in Jan really confused robins. They hung around several days.

 These to went to Carrie's house for Regan and Rachel.

 Oh and the cat one too.

 This is Rachel's too.

I still have a small tote full of panels. I need to get over that:)

Carrie's Birthday.

 Carrie and the kids came over yesterday to celebrate her birthday!! She probably wouldn't care if I shared her age, but I do!! I got the box 1/2 price at Hobby Lobby. Wishing I would have gotten more.

 It is so pretty and not need to wrap just fill it with gifts:)

 Here is one of the 2 table runners I made her. Of the hundreds of pictures I take there is not a one of the other one I made. Maybe because I finished the night before she came.

 I used the leftovers to make a mini one.

 These were started as a calendar wall hanging in 1996!!! Now they have life!!!

 I only have 6 months of them done. Ran out of supplies so now I will be forced to go back to Hobby Lobby.LOL

They look nice in her big frame. I tried to get the kids to sing happy birthday to her I have to say it was pretty lame:) I even tried to encourage them like " Now really bring it home at the end!!!"  Maybe they are just really shy well behaved kids...........or.................

What I saw today............

 When I looked out the kitchen window this squirrel was on the propane tank looking in that hole on the lid. Of course by the time I got my camera he was on his way down.

 That didn't stop me from taking some pictures tho.

 Chin ups!!

 Reward in the corn pail. I always reward myself after chin ups!! At least I would if I did them:)

 Here's the sparkling water from the other day..To cold to sparkle, a coating of ice.

 BBBrrrrrrrrr one leg up to keep warm.

 They were coming and going while I watched.

 I hope the calves enjoyed the warmer weather today sounds like snow and wind for tomorrow.

The shelters will be full. The D on his tag stands for Dobler that's who we bought the heifers from, mom's number 57 and this little guys birth date is 3-8.
