Mostly cows........................

 Wondering what will I plant in the garden this spring. I am going to try potatoes in a cage where you grow them in layers.

 The snow isn't even all melted and there is green grass. I sure hope Johnny is ready to mow this summer.

 It seemed like all of a sudden the ice was gone replaced by sparkling water!!

 The geese are flying all over. This morning there must have been 1000s of them they woke me up and at first I wasn't sure what it was. It was just a roar.

 I sat down awhile to watch and take pics, pretty soon they had to get closer to see what was going on.

I spotted a heifer out in the pen ready to calf so Greg and Susie got her in. This is where Greg was talking to Susie telling her they were just a taking a couple heifers. She was wanting to gather them all up................JMF

Sewing and my Monday..

 Just a hint at something I got finished. Love  the bike and the little hedgehogs!!

 What a beautiful day on Sun. Went for a walk with Sarah and Lucas (on his bike)

 The calves were just sunning them selves. Tonight when the snow comes they will have a nice bed of straw to lay in with a roof over their heads. I heard it might not snow here tonight!!

 Something I am working on. I sewed on it Sat Lucas stayed with us instead of going to the wrestling. We did several things including watching my favorite movie Old Yeller!!

 Today I am driving the pickup with 9 cows in the trailer to Madison. I'm taking these pictures on the go.

 I can take them on the go because the go is real slow because that's Greg in front of me taking the combine to Madison.

 After about 10 miles of this he  calls and said go ahead of me!!!!!!!!good

 I made it to the sale barn now I just need someone to backup for me! Thanks sale barn guy!!

Birthday present...

 It was our DIL's birthday yesterday so  I made supper for them. I also made this messenger bag for her. I got the fabric at the Nuts and bolts fabric  shop in Edgemont SD. A few posts back I think I told about us being at the Stock Show and one day we dragged the guys on a several hour trip!!!! At least I made something with one of the yards of fabric I bought!!!

 I quilted the heck out of the front and back panel like bobbins full of thread quilting!!! It was just fun mindless sewing:)

 I think this is the first store bought  apron I have given her. I love it.

This is the first time I got a picture of both of our wild cats. They better stay wild  cus ones a boy and ones a girl. Greg said they were getting alittle too friendly with each other.....................................wild kittens?????????........JMF

Just animals today..............

 I see this little bunny every few days. He still jumps into the pail of corn but soon he might not be able to get out!

 It's been a long cold winter. The cows and buffalo seem to be surviving fine.

 They need bedding to lay on.

 Good feed.

 His beard is blowing in the wind:)

  A wind break is always nice too.The fall calves will have plenty of hair to shed when it warms up.

 This is one of the 2 cats we see and feed by the house.

 I couldn't see if she/he caught a mouse or what. She was interested in something.

I heard a cat meowing up by the house early this morning. Their food might get a little father from the house!!!
Today is Ash Wednesday we don't buy pop to keep in the house anymore, but when we go out we get it. No more for me that is what I am giving up...................JMF

From Yellowstone's wildlife to ours...........

 The cows in some corn stalks. They are finding some to eat besides what the feed wagon brings them.

 On the cold days they like to stand in  the tall rushes.

 As for our other wildlife this one can move on. No possums allowed.

 Checking for new calves. This coming week might be tricky with the cold weather. Good thing they have a warm place to stay in.

 Another unwelcome site. My little trees are ate up enough. We watched him jump into the pail of corn. I guess he could be the Easter bunny:)

 Another finish just in time for Easter. The binding fabric is from 1999 I bought it for Carrie's wedding decorations. Does fabric have an expiration date????
