A strange man in my kitchen.....what?????

 So for awhile now I have been taking Greg his breakfast out to him while he feeds. Which is a........how can I say this?? A kink in my morning coffee/computer time:) You see he has made his own breakfast for 40 years. Anyway all of that just to say I watched the buffalo gate when I was delivering the egg, bacon bit, cheese sandwich the other day.

 I snapped a couple of pictures we should all be able to kick that high in the morning!!

 The bull is still in the feedlot he'll have to go back to the pasture this summer. When he sheds the rest of his winter hair he will be a slick dude.
We have 3 baby buffalo I need to get a picture of them.

 Here is an apron I made for ? Later I hope to have pictures of her wearing it. I just love it. It is a combination of 2 patterns I have, and sort of a copy cat of one I've seen. I have another one started I think I will do the bib part a little different.

 Working calves today in the wind and dust. It was awful. Finally later in the afternoon I couldn't stand it anymore I got in the shower, and it never fails the phone rings. I didn't get out to answer it, so when I did get out with a towel wrapped around me I walked out of the bedroom to check the caller id and there was a man standing in my kitchen!!!!!!! After a little scream... I think I scared him. He said he rang the doorbell and yelled in the door so he was going down the basement to work on the water softener when we surprised each other. He turned and was leaving,  I said the stairs are right there go on down!! What a day..

birds, gifts, and cookies

 The gold finches are back!!

 My Mothers day present from Jared, Sarah and the boys, Grandma's rules! I saw they were down to the shop the other day I think this is what they were up to!! I just love it. Remember boys it says Grandma's rules so I'm pretty sure that means I'm the BOSS!!!!!!!

 2 cookies cus that's what my mom always said "2s the limit" To bad I can't hear her say that now when I eat to many:)

 Lucas collected the rocks one day washed them, and put them up on the mantel. The faith sign came from Matt, Kari, and kids for our anniversary. I bought the cross at Hobby Lobby 40% off.

 I made cookies this afternoon. Instead of adding all the flour I added 2 packs of the oatmeal pictured below.

Maple and brown sugar, and to be honest I think I will always eat my oatmeal in a cookie from now on:)

Cows and calves

 Time to start taking these little doggies to pasture!

 We had the calves in one trailer and the moms in another. The calves had to stay in the trailer til we got all the cows there.

 It didn't take to long and moms and babies were reunited. This picture I took just holding the camera taking pics as I was watching and counting the calves coming out of the trailer. Of course I was one short, I swear I didn't take my eyes off the calves to take a picture. Good thing we had 2 counting.

 Happy in their summer home:)

 The next day I rode along with Greg to feed, as I was promised I would have great picture taking opportunities of the calves running and playing while mom ate.

 Done at the fall calving pasture now on to the main herd.

 We're waiting.............

 This is pretty much as close as it got to running and playing. Notice the dirty windows I tried but it didn't work to take pics through the windows.

Jared came along and was going back to our place with the trailer, so guess who got a ride home? I had to get dinner started anyway. Greg said they ran and played after I left. I'm always a day late and a dollar short.............JMF

Dedicated to Norma and Alice........

 My first stamp album was given to me by my aunt Norma. Back then you could order stamps for very little money, so I got my album started.

 Awhile ago a friend gave me this box of stamps of her moms.

 I got to add more to my album, I'm kind of obsessed with it!!

 She also gave me these towels to make something out of, but I have decided to use them as towels for now.

Here is the album and I can hear Norma saying to Alice "Well I gave her the album!"  Alice  "well did you see that box of hundreds of stamps? Those were mine" ...............JMF
