We saw alot of gas, coal and not sure plants like this on our way west. Lots of trucks hauling natural gas too.
Lots of little ranches tucked in at the bottom of the mountains.
Fun to visit but don't know if a flatlander could live there!!
Plenty of coal trains too.
Open water that they didn't have to use an ice auger to open:)
Lots and lots of Elk we must have seen 1000s of them. Only one with big horns though.
They had enough of us taking pictures of them.
I should have been taking notes of what river I was taking a picture of .
Greg spotted these Eagles on the ice probably eating a fish there was open water just a few feet from them.
Only 5 miles to our destination. This is the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park in Gardiner MT.
The park sign I take most of my pictures out a moving car so this is as good as they get. LOL

Winter Fun..........
Now that Kenny fixed the Internet connection on my computer I can post to my blog again!!
We went out to Rapid City for the Black Hill Stock Show. Before you get there a MUST stop is Wall Drug in Wall!!! Not for gas or anything like that but for Wall Drugs...........Doughnuts not just any doughnut just the best doughnut in the west:) Thanks to Loren and Marlene for turning them on to us. Who knew we stopped there alot when we go to the hills, and I don't remember having a doughnut before we ran in to them and had coffee with them.
We didn't get to see Trevor they had a mini NFR on Tues night . Matt and Kari were there tho, and said it was awesome. Maybe next year.
We went to the Rodeo Thrus and Fri night. The clown was pretty good. This blow up suit was hilarious .
Getting ready for the fight with the cowboy.
Didn't take long.
Here he is. I think he's a up and coming Flint Rasmussen if any of you are familiar with him. He travels with the PBR only now.
The entertainment trick riders.
Thurs night was Tough Enough to wear Pink. If I remember right they raised over 60 thousand dollars.
Sat Paula and Gary and us drove to Edgemont to what else the quilt store Nuts and Bolts! Lucky for Greg and Gary there was a store in the old bank called The Gun vault. I know I said I wasn't going to buy anymore fabric but...............let's forget I ever said that.
Pretty scenery on the way there.
We ate here. Then back to the Deadwood Grand to the Phil Vasser concert.Good concert!!!
Tomorrow It's church in Spearfish and go west young man I mean old man and lady!!!!!! to be continued........JMF

Winter feeding and more finishes...............
Oh the fun of winter feeding! The guys are glad to have a warm tractor to be in.
The cows are glad for the feed hay and warm silage.
The fall cows and calves are waiting there turn on the other side of the road. They are out of the wind in a low spot.
It is cold today the bulls are behind the wind break laying in their bedding.
Some more finishes. I made a baby blanket a few years ago and it had a doll blanket version so
1 finally quilted it.
I can't decide it I am going to hand quilt this or machine. Just a sneak peak! I am sure this is from the 90s.
Another wall panel done. The full view was blurry and these are sideways!!!
You will just have to turn your head:)
OOOOhhhhhh she's so cute. I am a sucker for panels... I was just looking at some on equilter the other day but I didn't order any......Really I didn't cus I thought I'll see if I can find them in a fabric shop:)
I hope you like this one Rachel cus it's coming to your house!!!!.............JMF
