Pretty flowers in Davenport. We lunch here and did alittle shopping mostly looking.
The highlight of the trip for the guys I would guess.
John Deere Harvester tour. No pictures allowed in the plant, so these are it:)
Our travel buddies Gary and Paula.
The tour was very interesting I think everyone enjoyed it.
That evening we went to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in East Moline ILL. It was very interesting A man explained about their Church and it's history.
I wished I would have taken notes:)
I might have to go to their website http://assumption.org/index.html
We had a Greek supper there, that's all I have to say about that:)
We also had a tour of the Isabel Bloom Studio I don't know if any of you have heard to her it was interesting but I wasn't in love with her sculptures. I did buy one of them tho it is Red Cardinal tree ornament. We toured a little Chocolate shop too. Loved that!!!
We spent that night at the Isle of Capri Hotel, and casino. The casino was on a river boat, it was just another casino tho. The room was very very nice.............JMF

Day 1 of our farmer's trip!!!
Not sure where I took this it was just out the bus window. There was 2 of them, neat water fountains.
Our first stop was at the Kinze Plant and Innovative Center, well for the guys anyway most of us women went on to the Williamsburg Outlet Mall!! I did not know that Dress Barn sold blue jeans and I love mine:)
I just took these pics from the bus when we dropped the guys off.
I think this is what all the guys were doing taking all the blue in!!
Our next stop of the day was the Amana Colony.
In years gone by they raised grapes on the side of their houses. Providing grapes and shade in the summer.
Lots of pretty flowers and trees in this village. We ate there at the Ox Bow Inn good supper and good pie:) We stayed in Coralville that night. The next day the blue was gone and it was on to John Deere GREEN!!!....JMf

Happy Birthday Greg............
I bought this kit at the Hill City Mercantile quilt shop in Hill City last Sept.It is Tatanka by JoAnn Hoffman A couple of weeks ago I decided to try and get it done for Greg's birthday which is tomorrow so I did it!!! So it's on the brown wall in the first pic even tho it doesn't look brown it is.
I tried it on a couple of walls and we decided the orange wall wasn't the one for it.
We might try it on the bricks of the fireplace too.
It was alot of tracing on to lite weight fusible and stitching with invisible thread.
This is the backing I had 2 pieces of this that's why the gap in the middle:)
My design floor in the basement! I didn't have to worry about Greg seeing it he rarely goes down there. See the people in the tepee?
Lots of quilting.
This is another one of her patterns I would like to make someday.
It is Sun Dance Eagle Feather. Now that I have the 42 inch circle cut out of freezer paper I am ready to do another:) My next project is patching some blue jeans When Jared saw what I had been working on he said "This is why you haven't patched my jeans" yup:).......JMF
